Gauge, a leading provider of innovative cloud-based global fleet tracking and equipment management solutions for heavy construction, government and fire and water restoration, has announced the appointment of a new chief executive officer (CEO) as part of the company’s strategic continued advancement of providing leading-edge telematics service and support.
The company has hired Chris Junker as its new CEO, who will join Gauge’s expanded leadership team and succeed former CEO Mike Paredes, who has operated in the role since the company’s founding in 2009. Junker is an experienced business leader with more than 25 years of experience in the software industry and brings with him a proven track record of accelerating innovation and driving sales at high growth software companies.
“I’m excited to be part of a company that, in the past year alone, has realized significant growth, and whose strong foundation is built upon a 10-year legacy of redefining the fleet tracking and equipment management marketplace and more importantly, focusing on the needs of our customers,” said Junker.
Most recently, Junker served as the CEO of Complia Health, a Chicago-based global provider of Software as a Service (SaaS)-based solutions to the post-acute homecare and hospice marketplace. During his tenure Junker guided the company through two acquisitions and triple digit growth. He has also served as the CEO of numerous software companies, including Microsystems, Inc., SpringCM, and Fios, Inc.
“I am pleased that Chris will lead the Gauge team into the next era of our company’s growth,” Paredes added. “Moving forward, my goal will be to ensure we are continuing to provide world class products and service to our customers, while working closely with Chris to expand our national footprint.”
Mike Paredes, Gauge’s founder, will continue to serve as Gauge’s chief technology officer and chief strategy officer. “As we continue to expand our product offerings, including the delivery of superior cloud-based applications for our customers, we have asked Mike to assume the role of chief technology officer and chief strategy officer to spearhead our product innovation and quality initiatives. Mike’s unmatched technical and industry expertise will help ensure that Gauge maintains its leadership position,” said John Glushik, Vice President of Heritage Group Ventures.
